This valley never ceases to surprise me. Tucked away down a quiet street in Durcal, I was asked to look at Casa Sorpresa. From the outside it looked like a large village house, but once through the front door, I found a completely modern house. Every door produced a surprise. The kitchen is completely re-modernised, all mod cons and loads of storage space. In the same large room is a salon with full-size flat-screen television which will stay. From here there is a spiral staircase to a small bar upstairs and a large open patio with views across to the Sierra Nevada. From the hall there is a large staircase to the first floor and here are two large double bedrooms and a bathroom. To the side of the pool, and outside, there is a further patio, with the pool equipment room at the far end. The patio is equipped with a sink and barbecue.
