In a quiet street a stone´s throw from shops restaurant and bars, but still on the edge of fields and orange groves, Casa Esperanza has recently been extremeley sensitively restored to give more light than virtually any other house I have visited in the valley. Directly south-facing the house is entered into a large living area, where there will be a fully fitted fitted kitchen at one end and a living area with wood-burning stove at the other. Original tiling has been used to very good effect. On the first floor are two bedrooms with wooden flooring, both flooded with light, and a light and airy bathroom. On the roof there is a large terrace with some of the best views in the village, from the Sierra Nevada in the north-east to the Albuñuelas gorge in the west.
